Wed., March 17 - Fort Loudoun Historic Area. Meet at 9:00 a.m. in Madisonville or 9:30 at the trailhead. Contact Johanna Cooley, 442-3643.

Mar 20 Sat    Hiwassee River Cleanup - 9AM, meet at Hiwassee/Ocoee River State Park Office off US411 just north of Hiwassee River Bridge on Spring Creek Road. Bring gloves, work boots and safety glasses.

Apr 26 - Mon - Monthly Club Meeting, Bert's Restaurant in Madisonville, 6PM dinner, 7PM meeting

Wed, Apr 28 - Nell's Cabin Hike - meet at 8AM at old Walmart parking lot in Madisonville next to Ingles or the Hardee's lot in Tellico Plains at 8:30. We will drive the skyway to Robbinsville, and from there to the trail on the edge of Fontana Lake. Bring a lunch for the hike. Round trip about 4 miles, fairly easy grade. Afterwards, we will go to Rick and Brenda's house to watch the movie, Nell ,and eat popcorn. Go to the blurb on this hike at this link for more information. June 2010

Jul 14 - Wed -  we will hike the Middle Prong of the Little River to the Panther Creek trail in the Tremont area 4.6 miles round trip. Contact Faye Daniel, 442-6288. Meet at 8:00 a,m. in Madisonville at the old Walmart parking lot.

Jul 26 - Mon - Monthly Club Meeting and Picnic, Fort Loudoun State Park, 5PM dinner, 6PM meeting As usual the club will furnish hot dogs, buns, charcoal, condiments and water. You can bring a drink of your choice if you wish and salads or desserts will be welcome. Meet at 5:00 p.m. at the picnic shelter.

Jul 30 - Fri - We will hike the Ace Gap trail to campsite #4 at Kelly Gap, 4.6 miles round trip. Only 200 feet total elevation gain and shady. Contact Faye at 442-6288. Meet at 8:00 a.m. in the old Walmart parking lot in Madisonville.

Aug 11 - Wed - We will hike in Cades Cove. Cascades on Crooked Arm Branch - l.4 miles RT. Elijah Oliver cabin - 1.0 mile RT. Visit to deer exclusion areas - .5 miles RT. Contact Faye,  442-6288 and meet at 8:00 a.m. at the old Walmart parking lot.
